Since the beginning of March, I have gone dark on news surrounding Naughty Dog’s latest game, The Last of Us. Now in just two days (May 31, 2013) The Last of Us demo unlocks itself in God of War: Ascension. I see the opportunity that I have here to be able to write up a preview of the demo and my thoughts of the game. The only issue is that playing the demo would break my “news blackout” on the game. So to solve this tiny problem, I decided to leave it up to you, my readers. Below is a poll asking wether or not I should play and preview the demo for The Last of Us. What do you want me to do? Play and preview? Or stay in the dark until June 18th? Let me know and vote!

Tomb Raider Review
Tomb Raider Review

I remember the first time I saw Lara Croft. It was in the fourth Tomb Raider game, Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation. As a nine year old kid, the game blew my mind. Exploring tombs and temples, fighting bad guys with dual pistols, Lara was the ultimate explorer. I loved it so much that I traded my exclusive Pokémon Mystery Dungeon booklet for my friend’s copy, which I still have to this day. Flash forward ten years to Lara’s latest adventure and you will find that Crystal Dynamic’s Tomb Raider has made me feel nine all over again. While Tomb Raider is not perfect, it is one of the year’s best games and has plenty to offer. There are temples and tombs to explore with a superb combat system, all propelled by an excellent story.

The controller is very much the same with slight changes for the better. Kinect 2 is a major overhaul in hardware and its abilities. Technically on par with the PlayStation 4, it comes down to what the consumer wants; do you want gaming or entertainment? Here is the run down for Microsoft’s next Xbox; the Xbox One.

The brand new Xbox is upon us. In just a few hours, details shall confirmed, rumors dispelled, and a new console war shall begin. Microsoft is late to the show, considering Sony had a press event back in February for the PS4, and Nintendo’s Wii U has been out since November. It seems that arriving this “fashionably” late may be part of their strategy, since E3 2013 is only two weeks away.
