# Donut Dodo is Getting *Another* Sequel and I am Thrilled [Donut Dodo FANTASTICO | Teaser](https://youtu.be/W6MzUWi_AF4?si=vgwFE7GZJFNcp3Y6) <div class=iframe-container> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/W6MzUWi_AF4?si=vgwFE7GZJFNcp3Y6" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe> </div> I will forever be indebted to [[MFP48 - "Too Old and Played Too Much" with Marc "Try4ce" Duddleson and Coury Carlson|Coury Carlson]] for sharing *Donut Dodo* in My Life in Gaming's video [celebrating the Nintendo Switch 1's life](https://youtube.com/watch?v=x2Qv8gJEI4o) before Switch 2. It is by far the game I have come back to the most in 2025. It's a perfect five minutes here and there game. Or 30 minutes here and there... In my newfound fandom, I looked up other projects the developer [pixel games SARL-S](https://store.steampowered.com/search/?developer=pixel%20games%20SARL-S&snr=1_5_9__2000) has made and discovered there is [an exA-Arcadia exclusive version](https://exa.ac/product/donut-dodo-do-software-kit/?v=0f177369a3b7) with co-op. But then, the other day, I started looking around again and discovered a full-blown sequel is in the works called *Donut Dodo FANTASTICO*. Gimme gimme gimme. While the teaser doesn't give much more than sublime chiptunage, the [Steam page](https://store.steampowered.com/app/3792070/Donut_Dodo_FANTASTICO/) gives us lots more to chew on. There are screenshots of the new stages and a hearty description. > "The goofy bird returns to treat **Dodo Junior** to a whirlwind day at the vintage funfair - a delightful outing packed with spinning rides, wild attractions, and enough donuts to hit the sweet spot! > > But wait! **Baker Billy Burns** is here to make a mess of things and grab every last donut before little Junior can get those wings sticky!" Hol' up a minute. Am I the bad guy here? > "We’re going back to 1983, **again**, with: > > - 6 unique funfair-themed stages and all-new attraction-based mechanics > - Bring a friend and share the fun! Local couch-coop mode > - Tight, precise controls tailored for pure arcade action > - Multiple secrets and alternate endings based on skill and progression > - Local and global high-score leaderboards, arcade-style > - Glorious CRT-friendly pixel art with a vibrant 16-color palette > - Authentic high energy chiptune soundtrack > - No continues - each run is a fresh chance to climb the leaderboard!" So pumped for more *Donut Dodo*. Seriously, you should play the first one.
