Enjoy. --- Hello everybody and welcome to chapter select, the announcement for season three. *00:00* It's not actually season three. *00:06* I am *00:07* One of your hosts, Max Roberts, and I'm joined, as always, by Logan Moore. *00:08* Hello, Logan. *00:11* Hi. *00:12* I think you mean season three E. *00:13* Ah, Logan, do I *00:16* Season 3E is correct because it's all about Banjo Kazooie. *00:18* That's right. *00:24* We are playing all four, not five, but all four Banjo Kazooie games. *00:24* Sorry everyone. *00:30* Logan did not want to play the critically acclaimed banjo pilot for the Game Boy Advance. *00:31* Published by THQ. *00:38* Not *00:40* THQ Nordic, dead THQ. *00:41* Actually, I don't know how that works out really, but yes. *00:44* No banjo pilot. *00:47* I mean it was THQ before the U draw and that debacle. *00:48* But it was still developed by Rare. *00:54* Anyway, no Banjo Pilot. *00:56* We are playing Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tui, Nuts and Bolts, and Grunty's Revenge, the other THQ published *00:57* Game Boy Advance banjo game, which also had a cell phone port at the time, but we will be playing the Game Boy Advanced versions on our analog pockets, so that'll be fun. *01:05* The uh episode order is what you come to know here for chapter select, where we bounce back and forth between a series of games. *01:17* So it'll be Banjo Kazooie's the first episode, which will be out a week. *01:24* from this particular episode, followed by Nuts and Bolts two weeks later, and then Banjo 2E two weeks after that. *01:29* And finally wrapping up this season 3E will be Granty's Revenge. *01:36* So that's kind of the flow. *01:41* It's a shorter season in quantity, but we've been working on this one and some other ideas for a long time. *01:43* And Logan, you're the guy that came up with Banjo Kazooie. *01:49* Yeah. *01:53* Invented the whole series. *01:54* Yeah, I c I I am uh I am the creator of Banjoy. *01:55* No, uh Yeah, I don't know. *01:59* I realized I think the main reason we wanted to do this, I think maybe we talked about this on one of the episodes that we've recorded already. *02:01* Um *02:07* But I've never played all of these games. *02:08* Like I'm a huge fan of this series, and I think you are too, but we've never actually played every single entry, uh, which is kind of *02:09* funny in retrospect. *02:17* So I I felt like it seemed like a good opportunity to actually cross those all off my list of games that game franchises that I've played. *02:18* Sit kinda similar to I think how what we did with Paper Mario *02:26* Uh where we fans of Paper Mario, or maybe we were, uh still we're fans of a particular Paper Mario style. *02:30* Yeah. *02:40* We like those games and we always said like, oh, I want to try to play all the Paper Mario games. *02:41* And sort of similar thing here. *02:45* Like, not only did we think it would be good for a discussion and good for a season this show, but it's also kind of *02:46* I think a series we've both been meaning to completely play at some point or another, so works out well. *02:52* Yeah. *02:58* I I never owned the *02:58* Banjo Kazooie games as a kid. *03:01* It was always something like the neighbor kids had. *03:02* The only one I ever owned was Grunty's Revenge on the Game Boy. *03:04* Bought that out of Costco one time, talked my mom into that. *03:07* So I've I've really never played them and the other great thing about these this particular series is it's very accessible *03:10* Uh being on the Xbox now and it's gorgeous and you know the four K HDR sixties, so the whole the whole deal there, it's such an accessible *03:18* Franchise, especially for such an old series where the prices are a little ridiculous for some of those N64 games. *03:27* I can't imagine nuts and bolts selling really high right now. *03:34* I don't think so. *03:39* But I mean you bought Grunty's Revenge. *03:40* What was it?
