I watched Becca's video last week when it aired. Immediate resonation. I've written my fair share for publishers, big and small, but the work was always *theirs*. It's why I write this blog. I want to build something that is *mine*.
It is kind of crazy that The Verge would just lord over her creations outside of the publication. That looming threat is not something I'd ever want over me as a creative.
The Verge lost a big talent, but it is just that: The Verge's loss. We still get to see what Becca makes. We actually win from this. Becca knows her cameras. I love her insight and style. Excited to see what she makes for herself.
