# Severance Season 2 is Slipping I feel like I am the only one who has beef with season two of *Severance*. I have been majorly disappointed with two of the five episodes I have watched so far. While that may not sound like much, the storytelling and implications overall have me quite discouraged about the rest of the season. They've kind of pulled a *Joker*, but instead of leaning into darkness for darkness sake, the show has leaned into "the work is mysterious and important," in what I believe is the wrong way. My biggest beef is with episode 4 for a slew of reasons that I will spare for spoilers' sake. I think there is more to explore (possibly in an essay) and I want to give the entire season a fair shake before final judgement, but I have lost excitement for the rest of the season. I just had to get this out there "on the record." I am genuinely surprised that I seem to be the only one down on season two's execution so far. My friends are all praising it. Some family thought episode three was season finale worthy. I feel like I am walking around the severed floor asking the obvious questions and raising red flags of concern to a room full of Milchicks. If that's the case, sign me up for permanent dismissal and carve a watermelon into the shape of my melon.
