# [Setting Discord status from physical GameCube console](https://sethmlarson.dev/setting-discord-status-from-physical-gamecube-console) – Seth Larson > Have you ever seen one of your friends playing a game or listening to music in their Discord “status”? That feature is called “[Rich Presence](https://discord.com/developers/docs/rich-presence/overview)”. > > What if you want to show your Discord friends that _you're playing your GameCube?_ and I don't mean an emulator like [Dolphin](https://dolphin-emu.org/), I'm talking about a physical console from 2001. I was *just* thinking about this a week or two ago. I kept seeing my pals playing GameCube games via Dolphin and was slightly jealous. Then I saw [this video](https://youtu.be/GS-1ChTm2Nw?si=KlBy4KmcqM3ayHnK) from Macho Nacho Productions about implementing RetroAchievements on real NES hardware. I will totally try this out when I get back home. I wonder how easy it would be to port over to the PS2 with the MemCard Pro 2...I'd actually love to see this type of feature make its way to all my old consoles.
