# Vibe Coding? More like Blind Coding! [Hitting the Wall with Vibe Coding](https://512pixels.net/2025/09/hitting-the-wall-with-vibe-coding/) by Stephen Hackett for 512 Pixels > "I have very complicated feelings about vibe coding. I think a seasoned developer using AI to speed up their work can make a lot of sense, but I honestly don’t want to depend on an app that was written by someone who doesn’t know how it works." Stephen linked to a story from [another Stephen](https://beard.fm/blog/ai-failed-my-podcast-app) and their experience trying to vibe code a podcast player. I've [[Everything is Figureoutable – Focused 237|dabbled]] with vibe coding for some projects on this here blog. The other week I tried to make a little Mac app for work to help with converting files into markdown. It too did not go well. When talking it over with my dad, I landed on this thought. When the user doesn't have a clue about coding, telling an LLM what app to build (right now) is a bit like the blind leading the blind. The LLM's are so confident in their accuracy, yet so wrong that it creates this maddening loop of sharing errors that make no sense to the vibe coder and an over confident stack of GPUs somewhere proclaiming their accuracy. It is a vicious cycle that isn't what the AI elite would have you believe.
