# "Fireballed" Again
[‘Pluribus’ Becomes Apple TV’s Most Watched Show Ever](https://daringfireball.net/linked/2025/12/13/pluribus-most-watched)
I promise I won't do this every time this happens—if it ever even happens again—but somehow I was linked to [[I Got "Fireballed"|once again]] by John Gruber on Daring Fireball.
> "[Jason Kottke is iffy on it](https://kottke.org/25/11/whats-all-the-fuss-about-pluribus), though, because he’s not seeing the appeal of Rhea Seehorn’s protagonist Carol Sturka. Count me [with Max Roberts](https://maxfrequency.net/2025/12/02/pluribus-very-good-jason-kottke) — I find Carol very compelling, and uncomfortably realistic. She feels to me like a real person, not a “character”. It’s one of the best cinematic explorations of loneliness since Tom Hanks in _Cast Away_."
Nothing quite like landing from a flight to a text from a friend giving me the news. My second thought (the first, of course, being surprise and delight) was *how* Gruber came to even link to my take on Pluribus. I didn't link to or mention Daring Fireball. My friend took it to mean that Gruber reads my stuff, which I don't actually think I can properly process at this time. 😅 If you are reading this, hi John!
The affect on my site's traffic has been pretty similar to [[I Got "Fireballed"|last time]], especially considering I am not the primary link in this article. Here's the data since Gruber's post on Saturday.

Not to spoil the upcoming Year in Review for the ol' blog, but Daring Fireball is a top three source for traffic this year.
As always, I am grateful for the linking, but am more flattered that someone I look up to has noticed me in this small blog linking way. A wonderful, albeit early, Christmas gift that I am thankful for to help close out the year.
