Developer: Nintendo EAD
Publisher: Nintendo
Platform: GameCube
Release: November 17, 2003
Summary
Turned Mario Kart into a tag-team fighter with the dual driver system. Filled with legendary track designs, special items, and endless hours of fun. I come back to this Mario Kart more than any other.
Acquisition
I got this when I bought my second Wii from a high school friend. It was included with the Wii and New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
Memories
I rented this one a bunch as a kid. Enough to 100% the game. I burned plenty of rubber in this iteration of Mario Kart. I still long for a Double Dash mode in a new game. I think the special items and two drivers per car is unique and exciting.
I have always wanted to play in a full, 16-person LAN party too. What an experience that would be.
Mario Kart World needs to bring back an "All Cup" equivalent.
