> [!game] *Resident Evil* > ![[Resident Evil Box Art - Front.jpg]] > > [!art]- Back of Box > > ![[Resident Evil Box Art - Back.jpg]] > > Developer: > Publisher: Capcom > Platform: GameCube > Release: [User Manual]() # Summary A ground up remake of the first *Resident Evil* title that was exclusive to the GameCube (for a spell). It look impossibly good by using pre-rendered backgrounds and the graphics power of the GameCube. A shining example of how to do a remake. # Acquisition I bought my copy alongside [[Gyakuten Saiban 3]] at a local shop. # Memories I played this for [[Chapter Select]] [[S5 - Resident Evil]]. It was my first full blown exposure to the series outside of dabbling with the [[Resident Evil 7 in VR is the Truth|seventh entry in PS VR]]. There's zero doubt in my mind why *RE* has stuck around for so long. There's an enduring magic in this game worth playing. # Related Posts - [[S5E1 - Resident Evil]] - [[Resident Evil Zero Notes]] - [[Resident Evil (Remake) Notes]] %% ```base views: - type: table name: Related Posts filters: and: - file.links.contains(this.file) - file.inFolder("Published") order: - file.name - Published sort: - property: Published direction: ASC columnSize: file.name: 513 ``` %% # Versions - *Resident Evil Origins Collection* (PS4) ## Miscellaneous - [Resident Evil (dunkview)](https://youtu.be/GduwxBZAxs4?si=XHwNK798mHlKLkiV) - *[Resident Evil](https://bossfightbooks.com/products/resident-evil-by-philip-j-reed)* by Phillip J.
