Summary
A revised and expanded version of Castlevania for the N64. There are more playable characters, level changes, and more. My vibe is that this is the intended version, but wasn't put out originally due to deadlines—especially when you consider this version was released just 10 months later.
Acquisition
I bought this reproduction cartridge as the only fake for Season 8 of Chapter Select. It was by far the most expensive game in the series for me to acquire. Given that I wanted to play on original hardware, I opted to grab this repro at a local mom & pop shop. Probably should have taken the $30 and just put it toward an Everdrive, but oh well.
