Summary
Mario sets out on his first 3D platforming adventure inside Princess Peach's castle and the worlds hidden inside its numerous paintings. One of the 3D mascot haymakers that still defines the industry to this day with its movement systems, especially in the recent years of speedrunning. The N64 controller was designed around this singular game.
Acquisition
I never owned it as a kid. I bought a copy off a guy while attending UCF. I saw it for sale on Facebook and snagged it for $15. I still remember the deal happening at a table outside of the student union and a cooler fall weather in the air.
Memories
My memories are playing it across the street at a friend's house who seemed to own every N64 game I wanted. That's how it works, doesn't it? I don't think we ever really got passed the first floor. My real time with this game wouldn't pass until the DS remake.
