Summary
Mario goes on an adventure to save the Mushroom Princess by jumping on platforms and bopping enemies on the head. There are eight worlds to work your way through. I mean, come on, it birthed an icon, genre, and helped revive an industry.
Acquisition
I own the Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt cartridge. I didn't know how to combine the two into one note, so here we are. That dual cart is one that just seems to materialize in people's collection though. I have no recollection of when or how I got it, but I have it nonetheless.
Memories
Super Mario Bros. feels like a constant. I remember it in an exhibit at the Indianapolis Children's Museum, in classrooms, at restaurants, etc. It feels like a game everyone has touched in some fashion.
I remember playing the Game Boy Color port, Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, at my pal David's house across the street as a kind.
My dad on June 18, 1999 with his NES. I found these photos at some point and immediately hung them up. A wonderful reminder that the apple does not fall far from the tree.
