# [GENKI Covert Dock 3 and ShadowCast 3 Announced](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/humanthings/trilogy/description) I've had my eye on and off of the GENKI travel docks and capture cards since their inception, but never pulled the trigger until now. My biggest motivating factor is my [[dbrand Promises Killswitch 2 Joy-Con Grip Replacements|Killswitch 2]] case on my Switch 2. The case requires a [[How dbrand's Switch 2 Dock Adapter Works|dock adapter]], meaning I can't dock my Switch 2 easily anywhere besides my home. The Covert Dock 3 boasts a HDMI 2.1 output, 65W GaN charging, and a nice orange accent color. I just hope it somehow magically arrives before my annual trip to see The Boys for The Keighleys in early December. I do wonder if this dock will somehow provide accurate Switch 1 capture from the Switch 2 to my [[I Can't Rely on My 4K60S+ Anymore|Elgato 4K60S+]]. Nintendo is doing something funky with the HDMI spec there. If this resolves my issue, I'll know the OEM dock the source, not the console itself. A hope and prayer for sure, but I am excited to test it out. I grabbed the bundle with the Shadowcast as well, not because I need a new capture card – I've been [[I Have a Problem with Elgato|through]] that [[I Have a Problem with Elgato and Switch 2|ringer]] enough [[I Have a Problem with HDMI Capture|lately]] – but because it seemed fun and versatile. I like the module approach for the "Pro" model. I could this being the go to travel replacement for my 4K60S+ — I do wish there was a card out there that could record standalone though.
