Publisher: Nintendo
Platform: Wii
Release: November 19, 2006
Summary
A landmark title for a multitude of reasons (it seems like many Zelda games garner that badge of honor). It's more mature, dark, moody setting was a cause of celebration at the time, alongside its launch on the Wii. I'd describe it as one of the more evocative titles in the series with a captivating world and development.
Acquisition
Purchased from a local mom & pop shop on January 22, 2020 for $9.99.
Memories
While not the copy I own now, the first copy we bought was a used one at a GameStop. I remember the day and purchase so vividly. The Wii section was in the back right of this skinny store in the mall, a stone's throw away from the food court. I don't remember the price, but I remember my brother and I asking for it and my dad obliging. It was a precious treasure the rest of our time in that mall. We were both so excited for it.
Turns out my brother was more excited because he got much, much further in the game than I did. He may have even beaten it. I got stuck in the water temple and never came back to it. It's still a mark of Zelda shame on my backlog.
