Summary
The motion control movement comes for Mario Kart! This entry set the bar for what a successful Mario Kart title looked like, as well as setting the stage for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's mechanical (and commercial) dominance. That plastic wheel must have made Nintendo a killing.
Acquisition
This was a birthday gift from my aunt and uncle.
Memories
Opening that big box with the steering wheel attachment was a glorious moment. We were all in on the motion movement and this game was primed for kids like me. I can't believe I was 14 though. It feels like I should have been younger. It might be slower and heavily favor motorcycles, but it is a timeless and wildly successful entry.
