Summary

The most anticipated sequel Nintendo's ever had with a hype cycle like no other. A roster of 35 characters broke gaming barriers, while transforming the series into a more casual affair. A celebration of the medium that set the bar.

Acquisition

At the time of its release, we lived in St. John of the U.S.V.I. Coincidentally (and thankfully), my mom was visiting her aunt in Florida the week the game came out. She bought a copy at Target and came home two or three days later. I rushed down stairs said a quick hi and asked which suitcase had Brawl inside. The day was gone from there.

Memories

Another formative game with too many memories to really count or catalog. Most importantly, this is the game that introduced me to online communities, friends, and creating. I wouldn't be podcasting, writing, or connected to so many folks without this game.

The late nights, Subspace Emissary marathon, all clocks, and Project M. A monumental game that deserves all the credit.

I want to specifically call out my podcast episode celebrating Brawl's 15th anniversary. It still is what I consider the best podcast I have ever made.
